Meet Nic Garcia, our Executive Housekeeping Manager. After earning a degree in Communication from Pepperdine University, Nic worked for a few other hotel brands in supervisory roles before joining the Hyatt family in 2007 as an Assistant Front Office and Guest Services Manager at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio.
During his time in the front of the house at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio, Nic converted the hotel’s property management system from Encore to Opera and also went through a full lobby renovation. Nic then moved from the Front Desk to Housekeeping as an Assistant Manager where the department was named the 2011 Rooms Division of the Year by Hyatt Corporation.
Nic then spent time at both the Grand Hyatt San Antonio and Hyatt Santa Barbara leading up the Housekeeping and Front Desk departments before joining the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place team in July 2013. We happy to have someone with Nic’s experience and customer service focus join our team!
As native Californian who has spent much time working in Texas, Nic is excited and also extremely nervous about spending his first winter here in Chicago with his family!
