Meet our Roving Rooms Manager Katie Kelly! The position of Roving Rooms Manager developed at our hotel a few years ago. It’s an assistant manager level position which provides an individual a chance to work in both housekeeping and the front desk at the same time. This allows for additional coverage in certain areas when needed while at the same time offering duel experience for a growing manager. We are happy to have Katie with us in this role!
After graduating from Saint Xavier University with a bachelors in Organizational Communication summa cum laude, Katie began her career at the Hyatt Regency Oakbrook as a Front Desk Agent and was soon promoted to a Sales and Catering Assistant. Katie left Hyatt for a short time in 2010 to explore a promising opportunity elsewhere, but soon realized that Hyatt was where she wanted to be, rejoining Hyatt with us here at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place as a Front Desk Agent and Trainer. In June 2012, Katie was then promoted to VIP and Quality Assurance Manager with us and did an amazing job creating customized experiences for our VIPs. Her recent promotion to Roving Rooms Manager offers Katie new experiences overseeing staff and learning more behind the scenes in the rooms division of the hotel. We are excited to have her as part of the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place team!
