In honor of Chicago Restaurant Week, meet Food & Beverage Director Brenda Herndon.
Brenda graduated from Purdue University’s well established hospitality school, and has been all across the country and globe working for Hyatt! After working her way up through the ranks of management in Hyatt Hotels she has worked at the Director level at Hyatt’s Corporate Offices in Chicago and as the F&B Director at the Hotel Victor in Miami and Hyatt Regency Santa Clara.
Brenda has also always been at the forefront of change and innovation. She has helped open new Hyatt hotels such as the Hyatt Regency Trinidad in 2009, and she also participated in Hyatt’s designed thinking focus group at Stanford University’s Institute of Design. This group focused on innovating new ways to offer our guests what they are really looking for in a hotel. Just a few of the great offerings to come from this team was the Hyatt Has It menu in the guest rooms as well as Hyatt’s Women’s Experience rooms.
Being from Chicago, Brenda was extremely excited to return to Chicago to join the expanding Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. In her spare time, she loves to check out new restaurants and cheer on the Chicago Cubs.
