Chicago Expecting Huge Crowds in Grant Park for World Cup Soccer Viewing Party

CT sc-spt-0623-world-cup-local-react-0623-019.JPGAccording to the Chicago Tribune, Chicago officials and organizers say that they are ready to handle the large crowds expected to crowd Grant Park for tomorrow’s viewing party of the U.S. Germany game.  The free viewing party will be held rain or shine at the Petrillo Music Shell in Grank Park.

Gates will open at 10am will the game scheduled for 11am Chicago time.  Festivities will continue throughout the afternoon with a mini-soccer field tournament, kids activities, and food and beverage sales to include beer.  Fans are not permitted to bring their own alcohol to the viewing party.

ESPN will be showing live shots from Chicago as they did for the first two games.
