Big Ten Network 10k Runner Specials & Discounts

The Big Ten Network 10k is taking place tomorrow at Soldier Field, and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place is excited to be the official host hotel for runners and spectators!  With the personalized t-shirts, school mascots, and tailgate after party, this race is sure to be a good time.

The hotel is just minutes from Soldier Field.  Simply walk 2.5 blocks north on Calumet Ave. and take a right at Battle of Ft. Dearborn Park following the signs that read “to lakefront”.  The pedway will lead you straight to the main entrance of Soldier Field.  Click here for an easy walking map.  Total walk time is approximately 10-15 minutes, the perfect pre-race warm-up.

Friday Night Dinner
Carbo-load for Saturday with dinner in Shor Restaurant. We have whole wheat penne, asian style noodles, and shrimp & chicken diavolo pastas on the menu. Shor is open from 5-10pm.

Race Day Breakfast
A 7:00am race time means an early morning for runners. Daily Grind Fresh Market will be open overnight to allow runners to stock up on fresh fruit, granola bars, pastries, coffee, juice energy gels, and more the night before or in the wee early hours before the race. Enjoy either of these combos for just $4:

Post-Race Celebratory Brunch
Enjoy a post-race celebratory brunch back in Shor.  Toast to your success with a bloody mary or fresh mimosa.  Runners: show your race bib or finisher medal to your server and get $4 off mimosas and 10% off your bill for the entire table.  Cheers to you and your accomplishment!
