Chicago is Draft Town!

The 2015 NFL Draft in Chicago is just 15 days away and more details are finally being released about the Grand Park fan festival.  This FREE festival, AKA “Draft Town” will be full of football fun from the first “on the clock” on  April 30th until the final pick on May 2nd.


A rendering of Draft Town courtesy of the Chicago Park District. Tents will be constructed on Columbus St. in Grant Park. The official NFL Draft will take place in Roosevelt University’s Auditorium Theatre

Some of the activities include a flag football tournament and the ability to race football stars using virtual technology.  Get a real life feel for how you stack up against your favorite running back.  View the Vince Lombardi trophy and championship rings, among other activities.

Here’s some other details about Draft Town:

  • Bud Light will sponsor a “Draft Tavern” within Draft Town
  • Draft Town will have food from legendary Chicago chefs and restaurants including Graham Elliot, Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia, Perry Hendrix of Avec, Billy Boat Tavern, Black Dog Gelato, Country Barbeque, Dia De Los Tamales, Fest, and Wow Bao.
  • Each team with have it’s own “team house within Draft Town, so that you can mingle with your team’s fans.
  • A huge concert in Grant Park will close out the festivities in Draft Town on Saturday, May 2nd, but NFL officials have not releases the artist yet.
